CWG 2010 Theme Song:
Oh yaaro, yeh India bulaa liya
Diwaano yeh India bulaa liya (bulaa liya)
Yeh toh khel hai
Bada mel hai
Mila diya (mila diya)
Yeh toh khel hai
Bada mel hai
Mila diya (mila diya)
Oh rukna rukna rukna rukna rukna nahi
Haarna haarna haarna haarna haarna nahi
Junoon se kanoon se maidaan maar lo
Let’s go, let’s go
Play o jiyo heyo let’s go
Play o jiyo heyo let’s go
Oh yaaro, yeh India bulaa liya
Diwaano yeh India bulaa liya, bulaa liya
Parvat sa uncha hoon dhun toh yeh
Duniya salaami de
Sardil iraade na ho jaayein kahin
Dil toh bas suraj dale
Jiyo utho badho jeeto
Tera mera jahaan let’s go
Kaisi saji hai saji hai dekho maati apni
Bani rashke jahaan yaara ho
Kai rang hai boli hai kai desh hai magan
Yahin jag hai samaaya saara ho
Oo oo
Laagi re ab laagi re lagan, oo oo
Jaagi re mann jeet ki agan, oo oo
Uthi re ab iraadon mein tapan, oo oo
Chali re dholi chali ban than
... ?
Let the games take over me
We like the time ..
.. the will to win to thrill to drill
Play o jiyo heyo let’s go
Kadamon mein ik bhanwar ka hai din
Jashn ka aaj din hai
Seeno mein toofan ka hai din
Baazu aasman yeh din hai
Yeh din hai
Yeh raat din hai
Tu zor laga chal aankh mila
Dhal na aaye din yeh
Jiyo utho badho jeeto
Play o jiyo heyo let’s go
Jiyo utho badho jeeto
Tera mera jahaan let’s go

Theme and Story:

The theme of this film is our good old tale of struggle of a police inspector against many adversities of life and villainous characters. Yet, it appears to be an old wine in a new bottle. The makers of this film have made it a comedy based action movie. The film moves-on frame after frame, showing excellent shots of fights and actions with interludes of some comic and emotional scenes in between.

The movie has dealt with many negative aspects and characters of our society and the defective system of governance in our country. It has covered, corruption in politics and in government offices, criminalization of politicians, and dowry system in society and has portrayed poverty in rural India.

Review :

This film has excellent direction, action, fights, Cinematography and editing that are the lifeline of this film based on which it has created records on the box office. Many action scenes have been shot with high grade of precision and latest technology.

I recollected the action scenes filmed in Krish on seeing the shots that showed Salman Khan holding hand of Sonu Sud, swinging him right in front of a moving train… and evading head-on collision with the engine by a whisker.  The another scene that could be compared with that of Krish and which I still remember is that of the glass tiles flying past in the air and Salman Khan leaning back on his heels protecting his head from the burst of the fast moving projectiles. I assure you that you will be left spellbound with all these action shots and hi-tech fight scenes in Dabang.

Salman khan has portrayed a rustic, arrogant and corrupt police officer with the rank of Assistant Sub Inspector. His acting and dialogue delivery appeared to be monotonous, yet, interesting and reminded the presence of Salman Khan with his dedicated mannerisms. His body appeared to be extremely tough and strong and all the actions and fights shot on him looked quite natural. Nevertheless, I think his body should have exhibited much more flexibility, reflexes and speed.

I think that the makers might have removed some pieces of the movie for making it much faster. All through the film, I kept feeling that at some places the scenes could have been prolonged a little bit more. I also think that the early life of the hero Chulbul Pandey and his childhood life could have been shown on screen. That would have helped the viewers to understand the real reasons for the hero having so very much disrespect for his stepfather.

Anyways, It is a must see movie that will prove to be worth spending the time and money on it.

Commonwealth Games Delhi 2010: All the 71 nations will be present in CWG Delhi:

- Harish Jharia

The Commonwealth Secretary-General Kamalesh Sharma’s statement has been published on the official website of the Commonwealth Secretariat that teams / athletes / sports persons from all the 71 countries will participate in the Commonwealth Games (CWG).

Whatever might be the shortcomings in the preparations for the CWG; either due to reported corruption, non-coordination or laxity among the various organizations of Indian Government; involved in the CWG preparations… now it appears that the show is going to go on in full swing.

Discover Life appeals to all the Commonwealth Countries to send their sports contingents to Delhi CWG for participating in the game and achieve new heights & records. It would be an added achievement if a Commonwealth sportsperson breaks any world record.

Sportsman does not care for comforts because sports arena is a field of struggle rather than being a house of luxury. The beautiful land and cheerful people of India are waiting to welcome you.

"Games will honour athletes"… Secretary-General says

In an address to Commonwealth leaders in New York September 26, Commonwealth Secretary-General Kamalesh Sharma said:
"Good grounds have now been demonstrated to have confidence in the Government of India and the Commonwealth Games Federation. They have gripped the challenges, and we wish them well as they enter the final stages of preparations. The Commonwealth is an association of goodwill, and so we wish India and the Games Federation all possible success and our support.

I was delighted to learn yesterday that all 71 nations will be present. So, my own sense of optimism, commitment and enthusiasm for this great Commonwealth event is clearly shared!

For thousands of athletes, the Commonwealth Games are an inspiration and an aspiration. They have set a standard over the years for cooperation and friendship that has earned them the label of the ‘Friendly Games’

They will go ahead. They will honour the athletes who have invested so much energy into their participation. And they will be a celebration of the diversity and opportunity on which the Commonwealth is founded."

Prime Minister and President in India

Questions and Answers…

Resolved Question:
What is the difference between the Prime minister and President in India?

Question: asked 7 months ago on Yahoo Answers

Best Answer - Chosen by Voters

President of India is the head of state and the supreme commander of the Indian Armed forces. All the resolutions passed in the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha are sent to him / her for final approval.

Prime Minister of India is the head of the government having all the powers in his hands. Yet PM is selected / elected / picked-up from among the members of parliament by the members of both the houses, as the PM is expected to be appointed according to the Indian constitution.

Unfortunately the PM is practically picked-up by the head of the ruling party or the office bearers of the ruling party.

India needs PMs that is elected by all the constituencies of India directly, irrespective of his / her party affiliation, just in the way the presidents in the US are elected from every nook and corner of the country.

In India many times PMs were appointed by merely based on the number of the MPs who got majority in the election and got power in the union government even by horse trading of independent MPs or the MPs of some unknown and least known regional parties.

Indian system of appointing the heads of government needs to be changes. In fact the PM should have the powers of head of government as well as the head of the state.

TV Review...Laagi Tujhse Lagan:

Review TV : Laagi Tujhse Lagan

Official website:
Photos of Maahi Vij (Nakushaa)
Photos of Mishal Raheja (Datta Bhau)

Laagi Tujhse Lagan:

Laagi Tujhse Lagan is a TV serial running on COLORS TV channel
Started showing on 28th December, 2009
Aired on Colors TV every Monday to Friday at 8:30 PM in India

Main Characters of Laagi Tujhse Lagan:

Nakusha: Mahi Vij has played the character of Nakusha
Datta Bhau: Mishal Raheja
Baajirao: Vinay Rohrra
Babi: Babi is Nakusha’s mother
Ganpat: Ganpat is Nakusha’s father

Mahi Vij As Nakusha  In ‘Laagi Tujh Se Lagan’

Story Theme of Laagi Tujhse Lagan:

Laagi Tujhse Lagan is a story of ‘Nakusha’, an unbelievably beautiful young girl in her teen age, born in a poor family living in a Mumbai slum. Her father Ganpat is a drunkard and hardly earns anything for the survival of his family. Her mother Babi earns their livelihood by doing housemaid jobs. Ganpat use to quarrel with Babi for money to buy country liquor for him.

Babi is scared with the beauty of her daughter Nakusha that someone from the slum might abduct her or inflict irreparable damage to her chastity out of lust. Eventually, she resorts to an extreme step by masking Nakku’s beauty by applying dark makeup allover her face, hands and feet. She made her so very ugly that no one even liked to look at her. Babi felt satisfied when she noticed people ignoring Nakusha.

The serial portrays the hardships faced by Nakku (Nakusha’s nickname) in the initial episodes when a police inspector, played by Pawan Malhotra, tries to forcefully gain intimacy with Nakku. His lust aggravated when one day the inspector saw Nakku without the darkening makeup. He finally forced Nakku’s family for marrying her. Nakusha refused to marry the inspector and convinced her family to migrate to some other place for evading the forced marriage

The inspector chased Nakusha and ended up with a fierce fight with the hero of this serial Datta Bhau an underworld don who rescued Nakku from the clutches of the rogue police Inspector

Mahi Vij As Nakusha  a model

Review:

The serial went on well until Nakusha entered the don’s house. It lost its exclusive class when the serial showed shrewd in-house politics played by Datta Bhau’a three sisters just like any other soap operas running on Indian television

This serial has again stagnated for the last 5 - 6 episodes, with the hide and seeks game played by the makers with the eager TV viewers by holding back the moment Nakku exposes her real face and beauty. This is being done by prolonged camera work focusing on faces of the characters, showing slideshows of their close-ups and by replaying old recordings in the name of flashbacks

I think that Nakku’s secret should not be held back any more and the successive episodes should be made a bit faster showing at least some complete incidents for the viewers in each episode. This is essential for the makers to keep the TRP at a higher level.

The serial is really good to watch…
