As per the statement released by the Confederation
of the Central Government Employees and Workers, Pune all central government employees, defence employees, affiliated to the following unions have unanimously agreed in principle to join the strike:1. All India Defence Employees Federation,
2. All India Railway
Federation,3. Indian National Trade Union
Congress,4. Centre of Trade Union,
5. Hind Mazdoor Sabha,
6. Bank Employees Federation of India,
7. Maharashtra State Electricity
Works Federation,8. Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited employees union
There main demands
are privatization be stopped, vacant seats in every government department be filled up, manpower crunch be dealt with and limit on the bonus 
package be removed, etc.------------------------
