Chronology of the Aarushi murder Mystery:

The following information has been compiled based on reports from: PTI, TOI, zeenews.com for the information of the visitors to "Discover Life":

1. May 16, 2008: Aarushi, 14, daughter of dental surgions Rajesh and Nupur Talwar of Noida was found in her bedroom dead with slit throat. It was also reported on TV news that she had a head injury possibly inflicted with a blunt object like 'golf club'. Hem Raj, a domestic servant of Talwar family was initially suspected for this murder. 
2. May 17, 2008: Servant Hemraj's body was found on the terrace of Talwar's house.  It was also reported in the press and TV news that the door to terrace was found locked. 
3. May 18, 2008: Police said murders done with surgical precision and suspected some insider’s job. 
4. May 19, 2008: Talwar's former Nepalese domestic servant Vishnu Sharma named second  suspect. 
5. May 21, 2008: Delhi Police joined murder investigation. 
6. May 22, 2008: Family under suspicion, of honor killing angle probed, the police quizzedAarushi's close friend whom she spoke multiple times in recent past. 
7. May 23, 2008: Aarushi's father Rajesh Talwar was arrested for the duel murder. 
8. June 1, 2008: CBI took over the probe of this murder mystery. 
9. June 13, 2008: Another Domestic help of Rajesh Talwar, Krishna was arrested by CBI. 
10. June 20, 2008: Lie detection test of father Rajesh Talwar was conducted at CFSL, Delhi. 
11. June 25, 2008: Lie detection test conducted on mother Nupur Talwar after the first lie detection test was found inconclusive. 
12. June 26, 2008: CBI declared the case to be a "blind case". Father Rajesh Talwar refused bail by the special magistrate, Ghaziabad.  Father Talwar’s friend Durani’s domestic servant was arrested.
13. July 3, 2008: Supreme Court rejected public interest litigation (PIL) case challenging the administration of Norco-analysis test on the accused in the case. 
14. July 11, 2008: Domestic servant of Talwar’s neighbor Vijay Mandal was arrested. 
15. July 12, 2008: Father Rajesh Talwar freed on bail from Dasna Jail in Ghaziabad. 
16. Sept 12, 2008: CBI announced cash reward of Rs 1,00,00/- for clues.
17. Dec 29 2010: CBI submits ‘closure report’, giving clean chit to domestic servants and pointing finger at the parents of Arushi. 
18. Jan 25, 2011: Father Rajesh Talwar was attacked in Ghaziabad court premises. 
19. Feb 9, 2011: Court took cognizance of CBI report and declared the parents as accused of murder and destroying the evidence. The court also decided to call the accused to appear before the court on 28th Feb 2011 for hearing.
