ICC Cricket World Cup 2011: India won the Opening match played between India and Bangladesh on Bongabandhu Stadium, Meerpur, Dhaka, Bangladesh
The opening match played between India and Bangladesh has been won by India by 87 runs. India scores 370 runs at the loss of 4 wickets. Sehwag made 170 runs and Virat Kohli scored his first century in his first world cup match.
Bangladesh played well in their inning for the initial 6-7 overs. They were hitting so very hard as if they were playing in the last overs of an inning. The result was the expected one when their first wicket fell. Munaf Patel got their first opener stumped by the wicketkeeper at 7.5 overs. Eventually the run getting mechanism abruptly stopped. Bangladesh finally packed-up with the score of 283 for the loss of 9 wickets at 50 overs.
They lost to India by 87 runs and Virender Sehwag was awarded the man of the match prize.
The team India has proved that they are the best team and are the most probable winner of the world cup 2011.
