With effect from 2011 there will be only one common entrance test "PMT"
each for over 30,000 MBBS seats and over 11,000 MD seats in all government and private medical colleges
in the country. From 2011. There will be one single entrance test each for MBBS and MD courses offered by all 271 medical colleges, 138 government colleges and 133 private colleges. This important decision has been taken by the Medical Council of India
and accepted by the Union ministry of health. Cheer-up friends... What a relief to the prospective Indian doctors...
