Bronze medalist Prasanta Karmarkar enters the history books of Indian sports on 6 October 2010:
by winning the first ever medal for India.He became the first Indian para-swimmer to get a medal when he clinched a bronze in the 50m freestyle
event at Dr. SPM Acquatics 
Complex in CWG Delhi today. He recorded his personal best timing of 27.48s. Karmakar finished behind Simon Miller of England
