ICC Cricket World Cup 2011: India is the latest world champion in the ICC cricket world cup
India has won the cricket World Cup for the second time in 28 years, after beating Sri Lanka by six wickets in a nail biting finish in the final match with the jam-packed Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai, tonight on 2nd April 2011.
The match was finished with a huge six hit hard by the Indian captain Mahinder Singh Dhoni followed by wild outburst of cheer in the 80 thousand plus crowd watching the sensational game between the two best cricket teams of th world.
The presidents of India and Sri Lanka were the dignitaries watching the match with intense interests along with many leading politicians of India and other participating nations. Celebrities from Indian film industry and heads of the biggest business houses of India were also present in the stadium.
